Honouring heritage. Crafting the future.
Meet the Family
Rowles Farm was founded back in 1969 by our Grandfather, Norman. We can thank him for planting the well-known kissing trees atop the hill that mark the beginning of our farmland as you enter West Ilsley, which also inspired our new vineyard logo. Since Norman, Rowles has grown into the Farm, Vineyard and Family that you see today. Find out more about us and our philosophy below.
Our Philosophy
Work Hard
At our core, hard work and dedication is about rolling up your sleeves and giving it your all. It is the unwavering commitment to our craft, from the early morning starts to the meticulous attention we give to each crop. We take pride in every task, striving for a job well done. Especially when there’s a beer and burger from Sandra waiting at the finish line.
Be Brave
Bravery is woven into the fabric of Rowles Farm. Our willingness to take bold steps and push boundaries is what drives our progress as a third generation farming family. We don’t expect to know everything, but we do expect to navigate through uncertainty with an open mind and with determination.
Don’t take yourself too seriously
It’s a little cliche but when it comes to farming work hard, play hard really rings true (well, in our family it does). And whilst we make sure to do our jobs to the best of our ability, we make it just as much of a priority to enjoy the process too.
Take a future first approach
We’re committed to making concious decisions that are guided by a vision for the future. our practices support the long-term health of our land and community by embracing new technologies and regenerative farming methods. We should always strive to leave a lasting, positive impact for future generations.
